Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska (BCBSNE) recently won first place in the 2020 Omaha’s Choice Awards for Best Health Insurance Provider.
The Omaha World-Herald presents the awards annually, and the newspaper’s readers choose the winners using an online ballot. Awards are given to a variety of businesses and service providers. Categories include health and medicine, education, retail and more. Health insurance was a brand-new category in 2020.
“We’re honored that the community in which we live, work and play has chosen us to receive this award,” said Malorie Maddox, chief marketing, communications and strategy officer. “As a Nebraska-based company, we’re proud to be there for our members when they need us.”
Additionally, BCBSNE is a long-standing Best of Omaha winner in the Life/Health Insurance category and 2020 Best of B2B winner for Health Insurance. Consumers nominate their favorite local businesses in Omaha Magazine’s annual Best of Omaha online voting process. Area business leaders mail in ballots to vote for the Best of B2B.
