At Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska (BCBSNE), we’re always rooting for the schools and educators who make our state great. From the first bell to final exams, through summer school and snow days, we’re proud to be there for Nebraska teachers, whatever life brings.
That’s why we’re proud to sponsor Teacher Appreciation Day during the Huskers Homecoming football game on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022. As part of the event, BCBSNE will give away 500 tickets to the game for Nebraska educators, staff, school board members and administrators across Nebraska and their guests!
Three online forms are available for submissions, based on educators’ professional affiliation:
- Nebraska State Education Association (NSEA) members
- Nebraska Council of School Administrators (NCSA) members
- Nebraska Association of School Boards (NASB) members
The forms will become active at 11:00 a.m. Central Time on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022, and will close after the first 500 entries are received. Tickets will be sent digitally using the email address provided on the form.
“Teachers are so important to the health of our communities and the whole state,” said Malorie Maddox, chief marketing, communications and strategy officer at BCBSNE. “Especially in the last few years dealing with the pandemic, we’ve faced huge challenges, and teachers stepped up to serve students. We are so proud to honor and support them.”
Throughout the fall and winter, BCBSNE will partner with Huskers Athletics to collect nominations of outstanding teachers across Nebraska. Four winners will receive a Huskers Football VIP experience at the 2023 Spring Game. More details on this contest are to be announced.
