Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska (BCBSNE) members can have their long-term medications fulfilled and delivered by Amazon Pharmacy as one of their medication delivery options, as of Jan. 1, 2022.
Members can order and manage their prescriptions through the easy-to-use Amazon Pharmacy shopping experience, enhanced with real-time pricing that shows both the available insurance copays and discount card pricing.
“Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska is always looking for ways to make getting prescription drugs convenient and cost effective for our members,” said Clint Williams, BCBSNE vice president of pharmacy and clinical operations. “Our arrangement with Amazon Pharmacy is another option to provide access to low-cost medications while delivering a superior pharmacy shopping experience for our members.”
When ordering medications through Amazon Pharmacy, members will receive a confirmed delivery date at checkout, free standard shipping (or free two-day delivery on most orders for Amazon Prime members) and package tracking throughout the delivery process.
In addition to the new Amazon Pharmacy option, BCBSNE members may also fill long-term medication prescriptions using Express Scripts delivery service. Learn more at NebraskaBlue.com.
