Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska (BCBSNE) is excited to announce it has earned a 2022 Plan Excellence Award for the Federal Employee Program (FEP) Plan.
The FEP Plan award is given by the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association and recognizes independent Blue Cross and Blue Shield licensees who meet or exceed all metrics of the plan incentive program (PIP) performance criteria. BCBSNE was one of 20 plans that qualified for Plan Excellence Award designation for the 2022 program year.
The PIP performance criteria are based on a 50% enrollment and 50% performance measurement.
“This is a significant milestone for the FEP team at BCBSNE, and I am very proud of their accomplishments,” Elise McHatton, director of FEP claims and support services at BCBSNE, said. “This goal was originally set for 2023, and the team really rallied to bring it to fruition for 2022.”
Not only was BCBSNE one of the top 20 plans in 2022, it was also ranked second overall in performance. The last time BCBSNE received this award was in 2017.
“BCBSNE is proud to serve federal employee plan members along their health care journeys,” McHatton said. “It’s an honor to be recognized with this award.”
