Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska (BCBSNE) is introducing a new individual and family health insurance plan called Armor Health. Coverage under this new plan begins Jan. 1, 2020.
“As part of our ongoing commitment to serve the health care needs of all Nebraskans, lower costs and encourage better health, we are excited to introduce an affordable new plan for individuals and families,” said Michael Nelson, BCBSNE Executive Vice President.
You can enroll in Armor Health anytime during the year—there is no specified annual enrollment period. The coverage is available for 12 months, with no limit to the number of times policyholders may re-apply.
Anyone under the age of 65 can apply for Armor Health. Benefits under the plan include preventive services paid at 100 percent, outpatient mental health treatment and prescription drug coverage.
Specialist visits, urgent care and telehealth services are available with copays.
