Registration is encouraged, but walk-in appointments are welcome at all flu shot clinic locations. Links to register will open 14 days before each clinic and close 24 hours before the clinic is scheduled to start.

Clinic health care staff will gather insurance details and file claims for those with health insurance coverage. For individuals without insurance, BCBSNE will cover the cost of the flu shot. Vaccines will be administered by Hy-Vee Pharmacy, Public Health Solutions and Red Willow County Health Department.

“Getting your flu shot is especially important because it protects vulnerable groups like kids, pregnant women and seniors,” said Dr. Thadeo Salido, senior medical director at BCBSNE. “Herd immunity helps limit the spread of infection, protecting those who can’t be vaccinated and reducing the strain on hospitals from severe flu cases.”

Flu shot patients at participating YMCA locations will receive a 20-cent Hy-Vee Fuel Saver reward, redeemable at Hy-Vee Gas, Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh Express or Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh locations. See Hy-Vee.com for details. Restrictions apply.
